The July audition for the prestigious Miss Elegant world pageant 2010 was held at Londons D'eclipse Night club and of course Nollywood Uncut was there to witness the event. We caught up with the founder, the elegant Theodora Ibekwe for a chat and this is what transpired.
Nollywood Uncut: Hello Theodora! I must say that you are looking mighty elegant today!
Theodora: Thanks, I try my best.
Nollywood Uncut: For those who do not know, what is Miss Elegant World and who is the competition open to?
Theodora: Miss Elegant World Pageant as the name implies, is the first ever pageant searching for the most elegant girl in the world. It is open to every girl regardless of age,colour, race, nationality or religion.
Nollywood Uncut: When was the first Miss Elegant World held?
Theodora: It was held on July 25th 2009.
Nollywood Uncut: What qualities do you look for when choosing Miss Elegant World?
Theodora: I will be looking for an elegant girl, capable of carrying herself well. One who is gracefully refined in her ways, mannerisms, style and exhibits dignified proprietry. Some associate elegance with with simplicity, consistency and of course restrained beauty of style. In other words, Miss Elegant Worldwide is not about facial beauty,height or weight but about the elegance in you.
Nollywood Uncut: My next question is for the benefit of a lot of the ladies out there. What does the winner of the Miss Elegant World 2010 stand to gain?
Theodora: as a winner of Miss Elegant World Pageant, you are automatically the ambassador / face of Miss Elegant World. You will win a cash prize and become an instant celebrity. Apart from becoming a role model, you will have the opportunity to travel to different countries chosen by the founder Theodora Ibekwe as well as grace the covers of several local and international magazines. You will have the opportunity to raise money for charity and attendfuctions as a VIP with the founder.
Nollywood Uncut: How would you say, todays audition went?
Theodora: Todays auditions went really well. It was fun and the girls had a great time.
Nollywood Uncut: How many auditions left and when is the next one going to be held?
Theodora: This was the last one for the 2010 pageant.

Theodora: The advise that i have for aspiring models and those wanting to be the face of miss elegant worl is that they should follow their dreams.
