The final audition for Miss Black Africa UK 2011 has been set for Saturday, the 6th of August while the Grand final will be on the 8th of October 2011 in London. This is the last chance to take part in the competition and make history by being crowned the first Queen of Black Africa. After the last audition,  15 finalists will be revealed while  10 wildcard spots will be contested by non qualifiers from the audition stages to make up the final 25.

The audition is open to girls of Sub-Saharan origin. The term Black Africa is used to describe the part of Africa that lies south of the Sahara and has nothing to do with the colour of the skin. Black Africa encompasses East Africa, West Africa, Central Africa and Southern Africa.

Miss Black Africa is founded on the basis of advancing the cause for women of Sub Saharan African descent.

The Pageant hopes to groom African Queens as great Ambassadors for humanity, advocating for the needy by carrying out projects in the UK and Africa.  The pageant redefines the African woman as a leader and a vital partner in the development of Africa and the world.

The Miss Black African Pageant is a non-political, non-partisan platform for young women to achieve personal growth and development and take pride in their heritage, discover their inner beauty in achieving their humanitarian goals in life and laying a strong foundation as leaders of the future.

The pageant aims to give young African girls born or living in the United Kingdom a platform to showcase not only their beauty but most importantly their culture, talent and creativity. The pageant is highly competitive and seeks to bring out those leadership qualities in women.
