However, the music coming from the guys up North was different; softer, smoother able to blend anywhere internationally, I think. I remember Jeremiah Gyang was just coming out then with 'Na Barka', there was Age Beeka with 'Girl of my dreams' (where is he, by the way?). So thats why Im not surprised at the success of M.I, Jesse Jagz, Terry the Rap man etc It was after Tuface opened the way, the dam has burst and the great songs just keep coming from there! That being said, enjoy this great new song from the forth coming album, M.I 2.

Fresh out of Chochlate City is this hot, new song from the funkiest malam in town and I'm talking about M.I. There is just no stopping the guys from J-Town is there? Its like a dam has been opened and there is no going back and a good thing too. Back in the day when I used to be a radio Producer in Kapital FM Abuja, I noticed that the music coming from the boys up north was not to be messed with. Yes, Lagos is is the centre of entertainment and dictates the music trends and all that but the music coming out of Lagos tends to be more street, more ghetto if you like; like galala, pangolo, rapping with a mix of pidgin and Yoruba etc.
