In the Spirit of the upcoming Channel O MVAs we on Nollywooduncut.com have decided to do our own list of the top 5 Ladies that hold the game of rap in Nigeria in our estimation! 1. WEIRD MC
2. BOUQUI
Bukola Folayan aka Bouqui is one rapper I admire so much. She doesnt look like your typical rapper until she opens her mouth and spits those lyrics! Somehow she ingrains her style into your world and you love her, whether you like it or not! With her unique hairstyles, killer rhymes and godly lyrics, her songs will leave you bobbing to the beat for a long time to come.
3. KEL
4. SASHA
Yetunde Alabi (aka Sasha) is the Self-styled "First Lady of Rap that has been in the game for quite a while now. Her collaboration with the Obi Asika-led Storm Records has been very advantageous, leading her to many award winning collabos with Ikechukwu, Mozambique's Do Ma Bling, Naeto C etc. She has been nominated and has won several and international awards including Hip Hop Awards, Channel O Awards, Kora etc. In her song, she shows why she's is called the first Lady of Rap and still a force to be reckoned with.
5. MO'CHEDDAH
Just when we thought we had seen 'em all, out comes Mo'Cheddah (real name: Modupe Oyeyemi) who has raised the bar with her hit single, 'If you want me'. She was chosen by MTV to feature in their programme 'Brand New' where she and her music will go on high rotation on MTV Base for a month, will feature in a series of MTV Base TV shows including MVP (Most Voted Playlist) and have her own Mo Cheddah-themed “Top Ten”, in which she will choose her favorite music videos and talk about their influence and impact on her. Listen to the song that made people sit up and listen!

Sola Idowu aka Weird MC came out Rapping in the 90's when it wasn't popular to do so with songs like 'Allen Avenue' etc coming to mind. Still in the Rap game, she continues to thrill listeners with songs like 'Ijoya', 'Step up', 'Ready to party' and many others.
Kel (Kelechi Ohia) came on the scene shooting lyrics from her very ample hips and the public loved it. She signed on to Clarence Peters-led Capital Hill Records, recorded the now anthemic hit single 'Waa wa Alright' and the rest they say is musical history! The release of her much anticipated album, 'The Investment' was met with much praise as she teamed up with Rap heavy weights like Terry the Rapman, Alaye, Jessy Jagz, Illbliss and many others to bring out a hit album that has garnered much praise.
